We have been appointed to prepare an outline planning application with a masterplan layout for 120 new homes on a greenfield site close to the edge of Chalgrove.
The housing is a mix of sizes and tenures, predominantly detached and semi-detached dwellings with off-street parking.
The village and the site itself have significant flooding issues which are dealt with using several dry ponds and swales distributed down the sloping site to store water before slowly releasing it into the river at the bottom. These SuDS solutions provide green spaces within the site, reinforced by tree banks which divide the housing up into smaller communities.
Houses are accessed off of short semi-private cul-de-sac lanes which are served by a primary loop road. Separate pedestrian and cycle routes run from north to south linking the existing village to the new community via the lanes and the green spaces.
