Inspire Business Awards 2017

'Business of the Year' Finalist

12 October 2017

The Inspire Business Awards celebrate North Hampshire businesses that demonstrate innovation, excellence and success. We are delighted to be selected as one of three finalists for the Business of the Year Award.

From humble beginnings as a garage start-up, we are now a 40-strong team with studios in Basingstoke and London. The opening of our new London studio this year was a significant milestone for the practice, as was winning the Young Architect of the Year Award and RIBA South Emerging Practice Award.

The Point

7 September 2017

The Point has been shortlisted for the inaugural AJ Architecture Awards 2017, in the Community & Faith Project of the Year category.

The two-storey youth club was designed in close collaboration with the young people of Tadley and provides a place for the whole community to gather. The project houses two multi-purpose halls, music room and recording studio, café and a series of activity pods and break-out spaces. The roof, with its dark folded ‘cloak’ appearance, gives the building a contemporary edge while internally a series of uplifting spaces create an environment the young people want to use every day.

The shortlisting continues the Point’s recent award success. The project was this year’s RIBA Journal MacEwen Award winner and was also awarded an RIBA Regional Award.

The winners for the AJ Architecture Awards will be announced at an exclusive Gala Dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel in December.

The Point and Emerging Practice

26 May 2017

Last night The Point Youth Centre in Tadley was awarded an RIBA South Award and we were named RIBA South Emerging Practice of the Year.

The RIBA has been celebrating outstanding work for over 180 years and the RIBA Regional Awards recognise UK buildings of architectural importance.

RIBA Regional Award winners will also be considered for the highly sought-after RIBA National Awards and the shortlist for the RIBA Stirling Prize for the best building of the year will be chosen from the national award-winning buildings later in the year.

We are delighted to have received such a prestigious award for a project that means so much to us and the Tadley community. To be named ‘RIBA South Emerging Practice of the Year’ is a real honour and marks another significant milestone for the practice.
